There’s a standard plastic mount designed to clamp onto the top of a monitor while the webcam itself is magnetically attached to the plastic mount. One cool thing about the Brio 500 is its magnetized mounting mechanism for monitors. Logitech advertises that it’s able to automatically center the camera on the person speaking and adjust lighting if you’re in a dimly lit or backlit environment. The lens of the webcam has a 90-degree field of view but it can digitally crop into 78 or 60 degrees for a tighter view. Those familiar with Logitech products might think the HD resolution puts the Brio 500 in the same range as the C920 but a spokesperson from Logitech made it known that the new Brio 500 has an upgraded sensor that should make video quality better. Also, you can tilt the camera angle towards your desk to show it off.Īs mentioned earlier, the webcam can only do 1080p and that still needs to be dropped to 720p if you want to have 60 frames per second rather than the 30 frames per second on the 1080p resolution.
